Kernel messages in syslog re "Unable to open /dev/disk4" and zillions of SCSITaskUserClient messages

Recently, I've been seeing hundred of these kernel messages in my system.log on my Mac Pro. This began around the Fusion 2.0.3 update, though I'm not implying causality. They are produced by starting any of my VMs, including Fedora, Mac OS X Server 10.5, Snow Leopard, Ubuntu, and so on. Some of the VMs have snapshots enabled, but not all. Some have pre-allocated 

kernel[0]: SCSITaskUserClient - Invalid arguments: scatterGatherEntries = 1, requestedTransferCount = 0, transferDirection is 0

They are preceeded by one intial message

com.vmware.fusion[1511]: Unable to open "/dev/disk4": 16

My Mac Pro has four 500 GB drives. There is one volume (disk4) that is a RAID 10 (that is, a striped RAID set of two mirrored RAID sets). It is running MOSX 10.5.6. Here is the output from diskutil.

I've seen no other issues from other applications on this volume, and integrity checks on this RAID set and the member drives show nothing. Mac OS X permissions have been checked. Below is the contents of one of my MOSX Server .vmx files, though I've obfuscated my MAC address. Additionally, I've enabled headless operation (ie, fluxcapacitor).

On further analysis, it appears to have been resolved with a later version of MOSX client.
