Issue with copy and paste from virtual machine to host (Windows 8.1 to Mac OSX)

Pasting from the virtual machine to the host stops working on a regular basis. Typically I need to reboot the virtual machine to get it to work again. This happens about once a day, and has been happening for the past 10 days.

I did uninstall and reinstall VMWare tools, to no avail (per this discussion: copy/paste doesn't work, I tried several combinations‌).

I can paste from the host to the VM without problems.

I'm running Fusion 8.1.0, Windows 8.1, Mac OSX 10.11.3.

I didn't reproduce this issue on my machine, please try below steps:

1. Upgrade your MacOS to latest version, mine is MacOSX 10.11.3 (15D21)

2. Remove all Drag/Drop temporary files from your VM when this issue happens:

    Local Disk (C:) > Users > username > AppData > Local > Temp > vmware-username > VMwareDnD
