Internet and private ip in VMWare Fusion simultaniously

I've been doin this setup on Mac for a while, mainly because if i need on transfer large files on scan large files on NAS, the only 1 Gigbit port i have is on NAS itself,. All my other equipment EOP, router are all 100Mpbs..

So I still have internet access i accomplish the following since Mac laptop has 2 Nic's :

- I directly connect Mac to NAS gigabit port via Thunderbolt to Eithernet on my MBA.

- one connected, i hen reconnect W-fi or internet access.

This way i can do what I need on NAS at 1Gig per/second therical speed, while still having internet access through  router via wifi..

However, this does NOT work from VM.. as VM (Windows 7) thinks network is disconnected even with Thunderbolt to Eithenate adapter connected on Mac,

Gettingthe 169.x.x on Mac fine, but VM has no knowdlge about this..

If i could get this far in VM, then i'm sure it ould also handle wi-fi at the same time..

I'm tried to folder share fo Mac, but this did nothing.. 160.x.x did not response...

How can i do this ?

Reason being, i have Antivirus scanning in VM i wish to can NAS, but i would like to scan directly Gigabit port because it's faster than 100Mpbs via router.

The only limitation it seems is VM cannot see private network.

Kind of a convoluted set up, bit i'm not gonna replace all my gear just for a one-time only scan.. i have 4TB to scan so its gonna take a while anyway....

Why don't you create 2 Network Adapters bridged to two different physical NICs?

Thanks "Thundebolt Eithernet"  I was on wrong one.

. except now Microsoft security essentials won't update definitions..... Probably not related to fusion

as internet in vm is ok otherwise.
