Installing Fusion 4 - Boot camp partition vs Easy Install

I just purchased a new iMac running osx v 10.7.3.

I would like to install Fusion4 to runa few of my existing Windows applications.

I see that I can install a windows vm using easyinstall (need a valid windows cd/lic) or I can create the vm from the boot camp particition.,

I am assuming the boot camp partition includes a windows os.

What functionality would I lack if I install from the boot camp partition?

Boot Camp does not include Windows and running the Boot Camp partition as a Virtual Machine still requires one to purchase and install Windows natively first.  Unless you have a need to run Windows natively I'd just opt to install it directly in a normal file based Virtual Machine and not even bother with Boot Camp.

You will not be able to take Snapshots or Suspend the Boot Camp Virtual Machine.  Nor will you be able to backup/restore the entire physical Boot Camp partition as easily as backing up/restoring a normal file based Virtual Machine.

WoodyZ: thanks very much for your response. I'll load windows with Easyinstall as you've suggested.
