Installation Error - Windows 10 VMWare Fusion 12

Hi. Could anyone help please. I keep getting the following error when trying to install a Windows 10 virtual machine from an ISO using Fusion 12 on MacBook pro, M1 chip running IOS Big Sur. thank you.

Moderator: Note the following:

1. Please try and create a thread in the area for the product used - moved to Fusion Discussions

2. Please search the forum area before creating a thread - you’ll see in this case that Fusion doesn’t work on the M1 chip, there are multiple existing threads on the topic

As Scott says, it is a common question.

Here's my standard answer...

There has been some mention that M1 support will not be available this year, it will be somewhere next year (2021).

Also note that while you then will be able to run virtual machines on your M1 mac, it will still not run virtual machines that require an intel or amd processor. There has been some talk that intel processor emulation is being investigated by VMware, but if and when that happens is unsure.
