Importing Bootcamp

I have recently had to reinstall Mac OSX 10.13.1 after a drive failure.

When I try to run my newly imported BootCamp partition (Win 10) I get the error

"Cannot connect the virtual device sata0:1 because no corresponding device is available on the host."

Then a message

"Virtual device 'sata0:1' will start disconnected."

Then

"No operating system was found." followed by a boot manager screen

Hi s1h1

Welcome to Fusion community.

"No operating system was found." followed by a boot manager screen

Did you power on your native BootCamp partition when the import process is on? Can your native BootCamp boot successfully?

Hi s1h1 ,

Could you try disabling SIP on your Mac OS and re-import Boot Camp VM?

Follow below steps to disable System Integrity Protection (SIP) on macOS 10.13.

1. Reboot your Mac machine into Recovery Mode by restarting the computer and holding down Command+R

2. Select Utilities > Terminal

3. In Terminal window, run 'csrutil disable' and press Enter.

4. Restart your Mac and boot to macOS 10.13

Hello nancyz,

Thank you. That's worked.

I had seen those instructions a couple of days ago, but thought they only applied to running the BootCamp partition directly in Fusion.

Kind regards, Simon.
