I prefer to set bios.bootDelay = "2000" in the vmx file, but if I subsequently change a VM setting via the GUI, the bootDelay is reset to 0.

This should not be reset to 0 if VM settings are changed via GUI.
Ignore this. I had forgotten to shutdown Fusion before making the change.
