I'm trying to install OS X 10.10 on VMware Fusion version 8.0.1 (3094680). But I'm getting an error below.
I have both the .dmg file for OS X 10.10 and I have specified the location I want to install the vmware fusion file in. But I continue to get this error. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me? Thank You.
OS X 10.10 can not be installed from a .dmg file alone. You need to supply the entire "Install OS X Yosemite.app" to Fusion. Fusion will then go ahead and create its own installable disk image from the contents of the ".app".
Try dragging and dropping "Install OS X Yosemite.app" onto the New Virtual Machine window.
