In VMware Fusion, is there a way to make the default networking configuration "Bridged Networking" with "Autodetect" when creating new virtual machines?
When creating a new virtual machine, the default networking adapter configuration is "Share with my Mac."
I tried going into the global preferences pane -- the one with the padlock and the promiscuous mode checkbox -- NOT the settings pane for the VM! -- and changing the network to Bridged Networking>Autodetect. It didn't help.
I'm not even sure what this global preferences pane is for; it seems to do nothing network-adapter-wise for new or existing VMs.
I create far more VMs where I want Bridged>Autodetect than not, so I'm hoping I can somehow make this the default. A cli "defaults write" parameter would be fine as well.
I'm using VMware Fusion 8 Pro.
