How to install Raspian on macOS?

Any hints? I tried downloading Raspian (stretch) and choosing both Debian 9 and 9-64 bit, but the install hangs almost immediately, looking (maybe) for DHCP.

Thanks for any info.

Hi,

You cannot install rasbian in a VM as rasbian is a special linux image for the raspberry pi.

The raspberry pi uses an arm processor and as such it expect the host to supply an arm processor and not an intel processor which your host has.

I believe the OP is referring to the Raspbian Pi Desktop image, which is made for x86 chips.  See https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspberry-pi-desktop/
