How to get multiple instances of Windows apps to run from Dock?

I have all my Windows apps run from the Dock on Mac OS 10.5.7.

Within Windows, or using the "Applications" menu item, I can start multiple instances of an app.

Using the Dock, however, I can only start one instance.

Is there a workaround for this?

Hi there,

At the moment the only workaround is the one you've mentioned in your post.

If you would like, you can submit a feature request via the "Help" >> "Send Feedback" menu option.

It must be possible to add this feature. I have managed inadvertently to open multiple instances of an app from the Dock once or twice just by repeatedly double-clicking. It has only worked in certain situations, I believe where there has been a delay in the app starting so Mac OS manages to start a second instance before the first instance has fully started and it has reverted to the default behaviour, which is to select the open app rather than start a new occurrence.
