How 'experimental' is Vista support?

I don't really want to run Vista yet, but when I do, then I'll want Aero of course. Is this the definitive article for meeting Aero's requirements of 64 MB video ram and 3D acceleration?

Thanks in advance

Enabling 3D support in a VM is not yet supported in VMware Fusion. Vista's experimental support is currently limited to the non-Aero interface.

You might want to look at the new Vista security model. It might surprise you.

Thanks - I've looked at the new Vista pricing models, software protection policy, and virtualization licensing restrictions, that enough surprise for me already!

When Dr. Gertzfield says "not supported," he really means it. Just for grins, I tried that technique for enabling experimental 3-D support (as documented for Workstation 5.5) in a VM under Fusion and then ran the Lara Croft: Legends demo. The result was an immediate VMM crash (it hit an assertion).
