How do you uninstall a virtual machine

trying to uninstall a virtual machine.  how do you do that?

shut down the vm first

1 From the VMware Fusion menu bar, select Window > Virtual Machine Library.
2 Click the thumbnail of the virtual machine to uninstall.
3 Select Edit > Delete.
4 In the Remove Virtual Machine dialog, select a method of uninstalling the virtual machine.
