How do I retain a custom screen resolution in Ubuntu 7.04?

Greetings VMware Crew,

First and foremost, great work on the Fusion 1.0 release. It's running XP Pro like a champ.

I'm trying out different OS's at the moment, and I've successfuly installed Ubuntu 7.04. I've also installed the linux VMware tools. When I installed the tools, I chose 1024 x 768 as my default (initial) resolution.

After rebooting the image, I can resize the desktop using the bottom-left resize corner and get it to a resolution I like. However, once I reboot the image, my desktop resolution is lost, and I'm back to the 1024 x 768. (I don't have this problem in Windows.)

Is there any way to retain my custom resolution between reboots in Ubuntu 7.04?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You should be able to hard set a custom resolution by editing the xorg.conf file.
