How do I get a Windows app on the Dock?

I know that when you launch an application that you get the application icon in the dock, however when you quit the app or quit fusion the application app goes away. My question is how do I keep the application icon on the dock so I can quick launch it when I need it

for example I would really like to put the Visio application icon in the dock and when I click on it it would launch it in unity and even better still if Fusion was not running it would start Fusion and then launch Visio

Same way you would keep any other application in the Dock - while it's running, ctrl-click on the Dock icon and select Keep In Dock. Or locate it in the Finder and drag it to the Dock.

I'm not on that computer now to try... Will this work if the VM partion is from boot camp? I have seen that some feature don't work if you are using the boot camp partition
