I've got a linux guest running Oracle Enterprise LInux 4.5. (Rebranded RHEL 4.5)
I'm using Fusion 1.1 and have installed and configured the latest vmware-tools. Logged in at the console (with no X) and no services running I'm idling at 20-24% CPU usage. This is wildly different than what I see with the same guest running under VMWare Server 5.5 Linux (8-10%) and Windows 2k3 VMWare Player (2-3%). I also have a Fedora 5 VM on my Mac that idles at 6-8% with everything running. I've checked the USER_HZ setting this kernel was built with and it was built at 100HZ.
I'm out of ideas and stumped. Any help in troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.
