My 500 GB hard drive failed. I was not using time machine, but was backing up occasionally to and external drive. The Apple store could mount the drive, but not long enough to pull any data. Apple replaced the drive; however, I am thinking about sending the HD to a recovery vendor, but didn't know how my data from my Fusion files would be packaged. If the files are going to just be a mess, I don't want to spend the money. However, if they are neatly saved and might be saved, I would try. Has anyone had to do anything like this? Any recommendations? Thanks!
