I had held off doing the update after seeing some folks with a similar system having issues with networking, etc. I took the plunge last week and am happy to report that I have not had one single issue, kernel panic, etc.
My setup:
MBP 17 C2D 2.33GHz 3GB 200GB 10.5.2 VMware Fusion 1.1.1 running XP2 Pro SP2
My biggest concern and reason for waiting was the networking problems that we well documented, and the additional concerns that might be created due to my absolute need to run on the company VPN under XP2.
