Graphical glitch with "Accelerate 3D Graphics" enabled and CAD program

Hello,

I'm experiencing weird graphical glitches in my CAD program when the "Accelerate 3D Graphics" is enabled for the VM.

This is my setup:

iMac Pro (2017)

running macOS 10.13.3

Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB VRAM

VMware Fusion Professional Version 10.1.1 (7520154)

Windows 10 64bit

The CAD program is PTC Creo Elements Direct Modeling

The glitches are gone if "Accelerate 3D Graphics" is unchecked, but the perforce is a bit underwhelming.

Is there anything that might be done to fix this?

One new thing with Fusion 10.x is the use of the Apple Metal graphics framework.

You could try to switch off Metal and it should fall back to the OpenGL that previous Fusion used when Accelerate 3D graphics is enabled for the VM and see whether the glitches disappear.

Switch off Metal by adding the line to the vmx configuration file.

mks.enableMTLRenderer = "FALSE"

Brilliant! Everything is working now with the "Accelerate 3D Graphics" enabled.

Thanks a million.
