Fusion11 and Mojave issue with jpg files

I'm a recent user of Fusion11 and Mojave.

I notice an issue with jpeg files.

When I try to open jpeg files using Preview.app, the application is crashing.

When I browse thru the Finder and select an image in columns view, the preview is not showing up in the right columns, spinning wheel.

Is there a configuration setting to be changed, or what is happening.

Fusion11 in combination with HighSierra, no issue.

Hi,

Known issue with the metal renderer I'm afraid. Apparently VMware is unable to fix it too.

See:

Preview hangs when opening JPG images. No problem with GIF or PNG images.

Thank you for feedback Wila,

Really? Would surprise me that this is not mentioned in release notes or something, is quite fundamental, I would think so.

Surprises me, too. Kind of kills my project to set up a vmware host for editing my photo library.

It actually is in the release notes, but indirectly.

OSX Guests do not have 3d acceleration (there's no way to do it technically), but the OS expects those functions.  That means that a lot of applications won't work properly.
