I'm having a very frustrating time consistently launching Fusion without locking up. I get the spinner when opening Fusion on it's own or trying to launch a VM directly. If I wait several hours, it will become unstuck. It might then work fine for a day or so. The app locks up prior to any VM starting or even the Library window appearing. It does not lock up once running or while using VMs. Only when launch Fusion when not previously running.
I recently upgraded my VMware Fusion version to 12.2.0 while running macOS version 11.6, I then experienced Fusion locking up on launch. This almost always happens when launch Fusion when not already running. Then won't launch. I uninstalled Fusion several times using the complete uninstallation method by removing all the various filesystem directories. The same behavior persists after reinstalling. After much frustration, I reinstalled my macOS entirely and upgraded to macOS 12.0.1, then reinstalled Fusion 12.2.0. It worked fine for about 1 day. Then started locking up again. I received an update notice Fusion today and installed 12.2.1. It worked find for most of the day. I was hopefully VMware identified the defect and released a patch. But then stopped working just now. I rely so much on Fusion, I'm not sure what to try next. Please help!
