Fusion stopped running

I had fusion running on my MacBook Air. I was using the boot camp partition and yesterday everything was find. Now the boot camp runs fine when I boot in to the windows partition, but now when I try to run fusion starts to run a vm session then the fusion application quits. The is a error 255 in the system log file.

This is probably the known optical drive issue in
