I'm running the current demo version (2.0.1) of VMWare Fusion on a Macintosh Pro (OS X 10.5.6) to evaluate it for use at work. We have a linux application that must run in 16 bit color. Near as I can tell the virtual machine is reporting 24 and 32 bit color as the only options regardless of my monitor color choices on the Mac.
I really need the 16 bit color for our application. Is there any way to get 16 bit color in the virtual machine when hosted on a mac pro?
Should I focus on VMWare vga drivers or on the mac X11 settings?
Any advice would be a great help.
