Hi there. Everything was just fine ... and the .... boom nothing. I've tried restarting, playing around with the network adapter, various configurations. Any ideas? I'm running Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS on
Version 10.1.3 (9472307).
^^^^ Let me add that my other VMWare session running Ubuntu 14.x connects just fine -- of course both have always connected just fine.
Hi paulzikopoulos ,
Could you get IP address inside Ubuntu 1804 VM? Or could you try to delete the network adapter via vm settings and readd one?
Well. Here is the deal. I deleted the adapter. Added it. Rebooted. And nothing. I didn’t it again. Nothing. On the third time I did it, the next day, and it worked. Can’t explain it.
The other guest and host always worked.
One hint is latesy Ubuntu doesn’t come with ifconfig despite VWare support team asking for it to be used. Articles also suggest this tool isn’t for use anymore. IP was the tool i used to work on the network connections.
Sometimes stuff can’t be explained in computers I feel. Lol.
