Fusion has disappeared

So far as I can tell, VMWare has remotely deleted Fusion 12 from my computer.  This leaves me with no alternative but to buy it again and reinstall it.

The question remains, is this likely to solve my problem?

VMware has no ability to remotely delete anything on your system. Something else deleted it if it’s gone.

Simply reinstall the version of Fusion 12 that you had; you don’t need to buy it again.  VMware maintains downloads of all versions of Fusion installers on https://downloads.vmware.com should you need the installer. You’ll need the license key - but that too should be available on VMware’s Customer Connectvsitevif you registered it.

I am greatly indebted to user Technogeezer (Virtuoso) for his help in trying to solve my problem.  Sadly, it didn't do the trick and I still have no access to the data stored in a Windows-based application.

A member of another VMWare team is also trying to help me but, so far, without success.

I am beginning to think that the only way I am going to regain access to that database is by using a different virtual machine.
