VMware's annual conference is next week in Los Angeles.
There are two Fusion-related talks at VMworld 2006, one open to the entire conference and one for beta participants only. We hope that beta participants who are coming to VMworld will consider attending either or both.
Session DVT4562, "Love Your Mac and Have Your PC, Too: Introduction to VMwares New Desktop Product for Macs," is open to all registered VMworld 2006 participants. The session will contain a brief introduction to virtualization, a discussion on product features, and a VMware Fusion demo. The session occurs in room 502A between 2 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8. Sign up for this session using the normal VMworld registration mechanism.
A private session entitled "Tips and Tricks for VMware Fusion for Mac OS X" will occur in room 502A between 3:15 and 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8. This session will focus on the specifics of our current beta release of VMware Fusion. Participants will get useful tips for making the most of the Fusion beta: exciting things to try, workarounds for known limitations.
Admittance to the private session will only be granted to registered VMworld participants who are also current Fusion beta participants. This session does not appear in the VMworld catalog. Registration is not necessary: we are enabling the VMworld badges of Fusion beta participants for access to the session.
This kind of database-merge operation sometimes is imperfect. An easy, though probably unnecessary, precaution would be to bring a printout of the email you received that invited you to participate in the Fusion beta.
By the way, the private session is governed by the same non-disclosure agreement as the Fusion private beta as a whole.
Someone take notes for me, I noticed I will be speaking at the exact time of the Fusion private beta session. ![]()
