Fusion Win7 guest has mouse and keyboard problems using vSphere Client Console window

Hello,

I will label all hosts involved to help provide clarity.

I have a MBP Retina 10.9.2 OSX(host1) that is running latest Vmware Fusion 6.0.2. There is Windows 7 32bit guest VM(host2) running inside of Fusion.

Recently, I installed ESXi 5.5 on an Intel NUC to host Windows 7 machine(host3).

I am running ESXi vSphere Client inside of host2 machine to manage VMs on the ESXi server.

I am having major issues trying to use mouse and keyboard of host3 through vSphere Client Console. I could make a short video, but it appears that the mouse control is flickering between host3 and host2. Resulting in the inability to use mouse and keyboard inside of host3 VM.

Does anybody have a similar setup? Any suggestions?

**Update**

I have reinstalled Vmware Fusion and built out a new Windows 7 host2. All appears to be working for the moment.

Thanks,

Stefan

It is apparent this issue is due to recent interoperability issue with a recent Microsoft Windows Update.

This issue was resolved once I installed fresh Windows 7 Guest VM. However, the issue reappeared after recently installing Microsoft Office Suite on the Win7 Guest VM and applying the most recent patches.

I have attached a screenshot with a list of the recent patches installed. I will install a new guest VM and continue to narrow down the specific patch that is breaking the keyboard/mouse functionality in ESXi.

Again, any feedback on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Windows 8 but I'm having the same problems. It's a huge pain this is one of the reasons I run Fusion to access the VSphere client software. Not sure what when wrong?

Okay I noticed this only happen on my Retina display. It does not happen on my Thunderbolt display so it's a work around for now.

Having the same problem on my MBP Retina - doesn't matter what guest OS is inside of the vSphere client.  My Fusion guest is win7 64 bit.

Really frustrating.

Change the Keyboard layout in the VM's setting for Fusion.  I changed mine from Mac to "Default" and it worked.  I can now release the mouse from the VM console.
