Just discovered that VMware is apparently managing a private swap file for every VM. Few questions:
- is there any way to control - or turn off - "private" swaping (I'd rather see VMware use the host memory manager)
- any reason for the swap file to persist after shutdown ?
- what security - if any - is implemented in that swap ? is it encrypted ?
any help / pointer most appreciated.
