Fusion Pro 12 OS X VM Copy and Paste Files

I'm unable to copy and paste files from my host OS X to OS X VM. I'm able to perform this in both directions with a Windows VM. Text in either direction work properly. I read the article shown below...

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Fusion/12/com.vmware.fusion.using.doc/GUID-E6C39F39-178D-49E6-BF9C...

Is this something that will be supported in a future release of the tools.app?

It does, but sometimes you have to manually install VMWare tools in an OSX guest (the automatic install doesn't always work).

Thanks for your reply. I manually installed the tools app (twice), specifically the one dated May 27, 2021 to support Big Sur 11.5.1, since the one included in Fusion 12.1.2 showed it needed to be updated to run under this version of the OS. No luck.  I can use the copy/paste for everything but files and folders when going from OS X (Host) to OS X (VM) in either direction without success. Windows works properly in each direction Sith the OS X Host. Any other suggestions? Again, the link on my original post said it wasn't supported in VMWare Fusion. I'm hoping to avoid using a share.

Ah, I missed the files and folder part - yeah, that's not supported.  Shared drives are the only option.
