Just letting everyone know that after I went from Monterrey OS to Ventura OS my Windows 10 Pro virtual machine running on VMWare Fusion Player version 12.2.4 stopped working. Tried to go back to earlier snapshots, then earlier backups, but nothing worked. With very patient help from Mac Technical Support I erased my entire Mac, reinstalled Monterrey using a boot install thumb drive created using my wife's Mac, and then reinstalled my Mac as of a week before the "upgrade" using a backup of my Mac w/o the VMware data file that I fortunately had. Then, using a copy of the exact same VMware data file that I had made before the downgrade back to Monterrey OS, I was able to get things back to how it was the day before the Mac Ventura OS upgrade.
Of course, it is possible that it was just a coincidence, but the fact that the same data file did not run on Ventura, but did run just fine once I got back to Monterrey suggests to me that the problem was that Ventura won't play nicely with VMware Player. Of course, from Apple's point of view, it is up to third party developers to make sure that their products work on Apple's new OS. I don't know how to tell VMware Tech Support the problems I have. If you do know, maybe pass this on to them. In the mean while, either don't upgrade to Ventura or post something here if you had no problems.
Thanks!

As your post needs moving to the Fusion area of the Communities, I have reported it to the moderators.
VMware hasn’t made any official statement that Fusion 12 is compatible with Ventura. We are anticipating a new version of Fusion to be released “real soon now” that contains official compatibility with Ventura.
