Fusion Networking Issue

I set my Fusion Networking Preferences for version 7 to NAT.  I thought NAT was supposed to use vmnet8.  however when I go inside the Windows 7 VM inside of fusion and run ipconfig, I get this below.  Why isn't vmnet8 getting a default gateway assigned from DHCP, but Local Area Connection 2 is?

This is the network configuration setup by Fusion vmnet8. And your VM uses Local Area Connection 2 network .

So you installed WorkStation inside your VM?
