Fusion Network bridge stopped working

I have been running XP Pro 32bit + Leopard successfully for about a year now. Suddenly today I have started getting the following message when booting up XP using Fusion .......

The network bridge on device /dev/vmnet0 is not running

If I switch to NAT I can connect to internet fine, but not via network bridge.

Sorry to sound such a dork, but does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be, and/or why it should suddenly have manifested itself. Also, what are the implications, if any, of running in NAT rather than using bridged network connection.

Thanks in advance for any help that may be offered

Thanks Silica V

I had already restarted XP / Fusion a few times, but rebooting the imac did the trick
