Fusion 8 display problem

‌I recently upgraded to Fusion 8. I ran my old Windows 7 VM ('upgrading' the VM at first startup) and everything appeared normal. I then upgraded Windows 7 to 10 via Microsoft and again everything appeared OK. At this point I noticed in the VM browser that the Windows 7 to 10 VM was still listed as Windows 7. I changed this to 10 in the Get Info menu item. From this point the VM now runs with large black borders on the left and right sides. This occurs in single window or full screen, adjusting Windows display settings only affects the visible portion, not the borders so it seems to be a Fusion issue. I am not able to 'go back' to a Windows 7 setting and have tried various Fusion settings to no avail.

Running an archived version of the original Windows 7 VM (no 'upgrade') shows that it still runs in the FULL window or screen (in Fusion 8).

Can anyone advise here?

Thanks very much!

Hi Cieyee,

Could you please try to re-install the VMware Tools in your virtual machine to see if it helps?
