Fusion 7 xserver failed to start

I have been using Fusion 5 Pro for quite some time without any issues. Today I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite. Now Fusion is not able to start any VMs. It fails with error /dev/vmmon file or directory does not exist.

I upgraded to Fusion 7 trial version. It's able to start the guest however it's not able to start xserver on the guest. The error says unable to load module vmware and same for vmmouse.

I have copy of this vm on mac mini and Fusion 7 is able start VM properly correctly on mac mini.

Any thoughts on getting fusion 5 pro to work or 7 to start x server? I am able to connect to guest console.

The guest is running Redhat enterprise Linux 5.5

Thanks in advance.

Hi VinSap,

Thx for using Fusion.

Using Fusion 7, and try to reinstall vmware tools, to see whether that help? Thx a lot.
