Fusion 4 giving me an error on my Mac

Hello,

I'm trying to use the VMware Fusion 4 for my Mac. It is 10.6.8, which I believe is supported. After I download and install it, I try to run it. It returns this error:

"You can’t open the application “VMware Fusion” because it’s not supported on this type of Mac."

I've scoured the web looking for related errors, but I haven't found anything relevant. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? I really appreciate any help you may offer.

Thanks,

Sam

I'm afraid that processor is not supported. According to the URL below, you need a Core 2 Duo or newer:

Sorry 😞

Hi SFSmith, can you check in the Apple menu (top left) in "About This Mac" which kind of processor it has?
