Fusion 4, Lion 10.7.2, Windows 7 Pro, shared filesystem problem

Hi!

I'm running a win7 pro vm in Fusion on Mac.

I've been running this setup for quite some time (since Fusion 1), first on XP, later Win7. Using the app dbPowerAmp Music Converter/CD Ripper to rip CD's to AAC, using the Nero AAC Encoder (command line program, utilized by dMC).

A year or three ago, I had trouble when writing to the Shared Filesystem, I had weird errors. Writing/ripping to a VM internal fs and the copying the files to the host works. But ripping directly to the Shared FS doesn't.

Now after upgrading to Fusion 4, this problem has resurfaced.

Any hints?

Sounds likely related to the bug in this thread - a problem with a driver in VMware Tools. If so, will be fixed in the next version of VMware Tools, but we don't know when that will be.
