Fusion 4.1.3 and XP slow boot

I upgraded my iMac 2.66GHz i5 with 12GB to ML and concequently had to upgrade my Fusion from 3.1.3 to 4.1.3. Prior to the upgrade, my XP would boot and be ready in less than one minute, after the upgrade it now requires approx. 5 minutes to get to the logon screen, and then an additional 5 minutes to complete the logon.

While logon is in progress, the CPU load on the iMac is 100%.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Did you:

1) Shut down the VM prior to upgrading (not suspend)

2) Remove all snapshots

3) Upgrade the virtual hardware

4) Upgrade the VMWare Tools

If so, try using the technical preview - it has better 10.8 support.
