I am considering migrating from Fusion 3.1.3 to 4.x, but have some questions prior to taking on that task.
Is there a method to migrate MS Windows XP and application licenses from 3.x to 4.x?
Or will one need to either buy new copies or input the former lciense key, assuming the license can be used on multiple machines.
The reason I ask is that my current Windows XP license is for a single installation, so trying to determine if I upgrade to 4.x, will I need to purchase another one.
What about non MS applicaitons, will they migrate over, or will that require re-installing?
I have spent several hours searching VMWare to find answers to these questions, with minimal success, thus my reason for submitting to the community. The answers be somewhere on the site, I just couldn't find them.
I am currently using a MacBook Air, 4 GB ram, OS X 10.7 (Lion), and Fusion 3.1.3. The primary application I use in VM is Quicken 2011.
