Fusion 4.0.2 and Ubuntu networking

Hi,

I have a problem connecting to my virtual ubuntu server when I'm not at home.

The Ubuntu server's IP address has been set to 192.168.25.xx, this is the same IP range I use on my home network, I run DNS Enabler to connect to development websites on the virtual server.

When I'm not at home my macbook has an IP addres of 192.168.1.x, I set the DNS server IP address to the IP address the macbook is allocated inorder to look-up though DNS Enabler, but it fails to connect to the server on 192.168.25.x

Is there a way to get this working at home and on the road?

The Ubuntu virtual is the turnkey LAMP server without a desktop, ideally it would retrain it's current IP address.

Cheers

David

I have now sorted this out, by having the ip addres set via DHCP. However, this means that my DNS server needs to be given the ip address that is allocated to the virtual server. Is there any way to automate this?
