Fusion 13 - VMs lose network when connected to a private WiFi

Hi all,
I hope everyone is OK.
I have a weird issue with the VM networking. If I connect to a WiFi without internet access, the VM's network interface goes down (like the cable has been disconnected). I don't remember this was the behavior.
The VM has a NAT device, and I was expecting to reach at least the host.
I'm on Fusion 13.0.1, on Ventura 13.3, and I tried different VMs and operating systems, and it seems not related to the VM itself but to VMware (or Apple), bringing the virtual network interface down.
Does anyone have a clue?
Ciao
Alessandro

To me this is a bug. I'm seeing the same issue, and I think it's been reported here before.

If you are within the complementary support window for a purchased Fusion license, I'd open a support request, (I'd do it, but I'm outside the complimentary support window).

I think this is actually an apple bug, because for example the TV app hangs on launch if I connect to a network like that.

The workaround I think is to put Fusion into a host-only network.

Yep.

I can confirm that setting the network to host-only works, although it's not very useful.

I'd to switch between my router's WiFi connection and another WiFi where I have some hosts and expect the VM to be able to connect to whatever is "behind" the NAT device (from the VM point of view it's an external resource anyway).

Thanks for the input
