Since upgrading to Fusion 12, I've noticed a problem when my MacOS host (Catalina 10.15.7) tries to renew it's DHCP, it either fails or obtains an IP from one my virtual networks. As soon as I just down Fusion, the issue goes away.
Our DHCP is renewed every 4 hours. So, as you can guess, I can only have VMs running for as long without having network connections.
Anyone else seeing similar?
There's another thread just posted about a VLAN environment terminating the host lease when Fusion is in bridged mode, so may be related.
Can you try NAT?
Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, that didn't work. What I ended up doing is blowing away my "networking" configuration file and had Fusion recreate it. I lost some of my virtual networks, but it least it seems to be working again.
Hi @msikscurloc
Do you mean your Catalina host gets an IP from Fusion virtual network? What's the output of command 'cat /Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/networking'?
