Fusion 11.5 crashes Windows 10 when switching user in Mac OS

Running Mac OS X 10.14.6 on a MacBook Pro.

When switching users and returning to the user running Fusion, Windows is terminated and the virtual machine is turned off (not suspended).

This has happened 3 times today so that is no longer a coincidence ;->

I can live with this as resuming is much faster in 11.5 than previous versions but please look into fixing this.

I can provide as many details and logs as requested.

Regards

Stefan

Out of curiosity was this ever supported?

VM will be force to shutdown or suspend before user log out,  the action depends on your setting in menu Vmware Fusion -> Preferences -> When closing a virtual machine

This is set to suspend, not hard shutdown.

All other programs just keep running when switching to a different user (not logging current user out and logging in again as a new user), so I my opinion this is not expected behaviour. Why would Fusion need to behave as you describe?

Sorry,  I thought is logging out current user.

For your scenario, VM should keeps running.  I tried several times in local, but can not reproduce the problem now. can you help to upload vmware.log in VM bundle and $HomeFolder/Library/Logs/VMware\ Fusion/vmware-vmfusion.log

Logging in the virtual machine is disabled.

All logs from library/vmware and library/Vmware Fusion are attached.
