Freebsd 13.1 with plasma desktop no longer works with Fusion and Workstation update

I updated to Fusion 12.2.4 and now Freebsd 13.1 boots to only the login prompt.  sddm does not load for the KDE Plasma desktop.  Any idea how to fix this?  Is there a simple way to go back to 12.2.3?  I also have Workstation 16.x on a PC and it did the same thing.

I just installed gnome in fresh vm.  That works.  I then installed plasma5/sddm and that worked.  I then changed the update repo to latest and sddm does not come up. Black screen trying to load something.

The fix is to not use latest:

mkdir -p /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos

cat <<EOT > /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/FreeBSD.conf

FreeBSD: {

    url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/\${ABI}/latest"

}

EOT

Rename FreeBSD.conf to FreeBSD.conf.0 or something.

Then run:

sudo pkg upgrade -fy

Plasma now works with the update from 5.24.6 to 5.24.6_1!
