Failed to power on '/Users/air/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 8.vmwarevm/Windows 8

Hi , 

I just updated to a MacBook Air M1 with Big Sur.  I had my windows image on a ssd that I use with VMware Fusion.

My old system was a MacBook Air with OS 10  .

I just put the SSD in the MacBook Air and when I try and run VMware I get an error that states "

Failed to power on '/Users/air/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 8.vmwarevm/Windows 8.vmx"      

any help would be greatly appreciated !

There are NO versions of Fusion available which can power on any VM on a Mac with the M1 processor, search this area for “M1” to find many similar threads.
