  • 1.  Error in starting sound stream

    I have a Macbook Pro running Lion.  I am using VMWare Fusion 4.0.2 and running a Windows 7 64-bit instance.

    Every few minutes/hours/random I get a pop up from VMware saying "Error in starting sound stream."  "sound is disconnected".   My sound works fine.  Occactionally the sound is disconnected, and I can reconnect it fine. 

    I have removed the sound device, re-added it, uninstalled the sound card from windows, reinstalled, etc.   I cant get this error message to go away.  The biggest problem is it freezes the run time on the vm when it pops up.

    Anyone see this?

    is there a fix???

    I'm having the same issue in my enterprise. All users running Max OSX 10.7.3 and 10.7.4 report this error appears quite often. Most of the times the error appears after they close the lid and reopen it.
