Downgrading a v12 virtual machine with Intel Windows to v11 using Fusion v13

Hi there,

I have a M1 MacBookPro running macOs Monterey and an Intel MacMini with High Sierra.

Once a year I need to run one Windows app, I have a Windows virtual machine for that, created on my previous Intel based MBP, last year upgraded to VM Fusion v12. Now I obviously cannon run it on my M1 MBP. I hoped that I will be able to run it on the Intel MacMini, yet v12 image cannot be startet there because High Sierra only supports VM Fusion v11.

So I'm stuck. I tried to downgrade the image using freshly installed VM Fusion v13 on my M1 MBP but I only have options to keep it at hardware version 19 or upgrade to 20, I don't see any option to downgrade it to the level that VM Fusion v11 would support.

Is there any method of downgrading this image? Or do I have to upgrade my MacMini to BigSur to be able to install VM Fusion v12? Which would be quite an effort.

Thanks in advice
Best regards
Tomasz
