Dock shortcut doesn't start VM in Fusion 5.

I have used Fusion since version 1. I have always had a shortcut to a virtual machine in my Mac dock, which has started the VM when I click on it. However, since I upgraded to Fusion 5, when I click on the icon in the dock, fusion starts, and displays the suspended virtual machine, but the virtual machine itself doesn't start. Does anyone know why the virtual machine doesn't start like it used to?

Unless the "Start automatically when VMware Fusion launches" check box is checked under the General Settings for that Virtual Machine then that is the expected default behavior in VMware Fusion 5.
