Display topology update request could not be completed in guest after installing Windows 10

I have 2 external monitors in my macbook pro. Until yesterday i was using fusion with a Win 8.1 vm with Unity View enabled and it was working perfectly.

So I updated to windows 10.

Installed all drivers, updated bootcamp and reinstalled vmware tools and everything.

The vm starts fine and run flawlessly only if im not using unity view.

I f i try to enable unity, i get a "display topology update request could not be completed in guest" message, the vm-screen turns black and i have to restart the VM.

As i said, i have 2 external monitors (2x LG 22EA53), one plugged via thunderbolt and one in the HDMI port.

If i disconnect both monitors, unity works again.

If i disconnect 1 monitor (either one), unity works again.

Another test I ran was to set the arrangement of the monitors in a more traditional way (all 3 side by side, previously i had 2 on top side by side, and one in the middle bellow, sort of T shape) and no luck there...

everything is fully up-to-date
