Display resolution problem 38WK95C-W - Windows 64 bit VM - Catalina 10.15.5 + Fusion Professional Version 11.5.5 (16269456)

Hi all

i wanted to ask if anyone is using the same superwide angle monitor LG 38WK95C-W, it is 38" wide with a resolution of 3840 x 1600.

I first noticed a problem when I upgraded my VM to Windows 10 2004 and the display resolution was detected incorrectly. After deinstalling and reinstalling the VM tools, it now detects 7680 x 3200 which, which is clearly wrong.  I have attached an image showing the problem.

Having now removed the 2004 update, I'm still stuck with the same resolution.

If I go into the advanced display properties, it does not list the resolution I want (have attached image).

Any ideas about how to fix this would be very welcome Smiley Happy.

thanks

Hi dkayuk,

It looks like your monitor LG 38WK95C-W is a non-Retina display, so you may need to open VM Settings==>Display, uncheck 'Use full resolution for Retina display' option.
