Disable Automatic BootCamp creation, BootCamp naming.

I have two BootCamp partitions (WinXP and Vista) on a four drive Mac Pro. VMware creates two entries pointing to the first BootCamp partition, using the wrong naming for the second entry (it is labeled for Drive 2, but points to drive 1.)

There is further confusion, since drive numbering seems to be dependent on when drives are available. Instead of seeing disk1s2 mounted on root, sometimes the same drive is seen as disk2s2. This has an impact on booting partitions. For now, I reboot after checking for this condition with mount.

Is there a way to disable automatic BootCamp machine configuration? I would just like to do it manually.

It would also be great to label the machines in a more meaningful fashion.

Finally, perhaps VMware could use partition labeling instead of the current disk number scheme.
